The New Age of Recruitment

04/28/2021 industry_insights, branding_basics

No matter where they start, use the power of promo to engage and develop relationships with potential hires and new employees.

From the first interview to their first day, starting a new job can be scary and stressful. Over the past year, developing relationships with potential and new hires has become more challenging for several companies.

Starting From Home

Traditionally, going into an office or building for an interview was an opportunity for potential new hires to get a sense of what it would be like to work there. Now that interviews are moving online, it can be easy for recruits to feel disconnected and can even make it harder to picture themselves working with a team.  Make sure that they can get a sense of what the working environment will be like and what they can expect if they do accept the position.

After the interview process is over, don’t forget to continue engaging with your new hire to keep them excited about working for your brand. To congratulate them on their new position and show them how excited you are to have them work with you, try sending new hires a kit filled with branded items to make them feel like they are a part of the team. Recipients will feel appreciated and be inspired to work hard for your brand.

Working In the Office

Working from home can be isolating and distracting. To maintain a strong company culture, several businesses are starting to develop new working strategies like hybrid scheduling to bring work-from-home employees back to the office. For new hires, this can be a great way to get the best of both worlds.

While it’s important that health and safety remain everyone’s top priority, developing, fostering and maintaining relationships without in-person interaction can be difficult. Let both new and current employees know that your brand is taking the necessary precautions to create a safe working environment and get them excited about returning to the office.

Starting Off Right

Bring in the welcome wagon! From the first interview to their first day on the job, start them off on the right foot with promo to impress potential recruits and welcome new hires to the team.

Apparel

Whether they are working from home or the office, let them represent your brand no matter where they work with custom clothing items like T-shirts, hoodies, hats and more. New employees will appreciate the gesture and feel like a real member of your companies' team.

Office Essentials

Set them up for success no matter where they are working! Whether they are in the office or working from home, refresh their workspace with new branded writing instruments, custom notepads and more office essentials.

Tech

Make sure they still feel connected to your brand even when you can't be together in person for meetings, conferences, interviews and so much more by sending tech items even the most tech-savvy recipient will appreciate.
